Scanning Credentials

The device's camera permissions must be enabled for this functionality to work.

  1. To scan a credential, simply navigate to the Verifier tab of the application and use the targeting reticle to focus on a QR code.

  1. Upon recognition of a valid QR code, the results will be displayed on screen.

Interpreting Results

Credential is verified

The credential is a verifiable credential, contains valid data, is not revoked, and is trusted by the issuer.

Credential is revoked

The credential is a verifiable credential, contains valid data, but appears on a revocation list from the issuer and therefore is not considered to be verified.

Credential is invalid

The credential is a verifiable credential, but does not contain valid data.

Credential is not valid

Not valid credentials are a catch all category for when none of the conditions above are met. For example, a valid QR code for a restaurant menu that is not a verifiable credential.

Not valid credentials do not expose the results page, allowing the user to scan again immediately.
